Pure and silver doped epitaxial high quality YBa2Cu3O7 films of various thicknesses have been grown by pulsed laser deposition. Ag-doping procedures have demonstrated that the critical current density (Jc) is possible to enhance by a careful adjustment of the doping. Comparing thickness dependences of Jc for doped and undoped samples, it turns out that the thickness strongly affects the doping influence. Applied magnetic field and temperature dependences of Jc for doped and undoped films of different thicknesses are discussed in order to explain the observed results.
