A new xanthone and a biphenyl from the flower and twig extracts of Garcinia mckeaniana

The isolated compounds were characterized using spectroscopic techniques and mass spectrometry. Some of the isolated compounds from the twigs exhibited antimalarial and cytotoxic activities.
