Abstract
IN ALR 4/1966 ancl 1/1967 Roy Nelson and Maurie Crow discuss some of the problems of forward planning for Australian cities, in particular that of passenger transportation. The private motor car has become a major means of transport in recent years and is producing a serious crisis for our cities. It is the w riter’s opinion that whatever form the future city takes, public transport must be the main means for travel.
