Urbanisation: A Challenge to Socialism
Abstract
When one talks of human settlements we see a rapid urbanisation of the world. In 1950 it was 30 per cent urban, in 1975 40 per cent urban and it is anticipated to be at least half urban by the year 2000. This, in fact, means 31/2 billion people in the urban areas of the earth.
