Abstract

The Kids Together program is an innovative trans-disciplinary model of service delivery for early intervention that targets children aged 0-8 years with disabilities/additional needs. Using early childhood education centres as the starting point, Kids Together aims to deliver early education, therapy and family support services in a mainstream pre-school or day care centre setting as well as supporting parents and carers through home visiting. The integrated program was developed by Noah's Shoalhaven in 2013 in preparation for the move to packaged service delivery of disability services in NSW. The forum will provide the audience with an opportunity to learn about how the Kids Together program is currently being implemented and evaluated in early childhood centres across the Illawarra and to discuss future directions.
