Abstract

The concept of task level interfaces for human/computer interaction is not new. Much research has been performed in this area, especially in the area of manufacturing assembly problems. However to date, there have been very few commercial systems developed. Tele-operation of robots is also another area of robotics which has been the focus of much research over the past forty years, in areas such as exploration and hazardous environment robots.
