Selected Works of Professor Joe F. Chicharo
Professor Joe Chicharo is Dean of Informatics at the University of Wollongong. Prior to this position, Joe was Head of the School of Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering (2002). Joe joined the university in 1985 as a Lecturer, completing his PhD thesis in 1989, before being appointed Professor of Telecommunications Engineering in 1997. Prior to this time, Joe gained considerable industrial experience with BHP in automation and systems engineering as well as large capital project design and management. Joe's research interests include internet-enabling technologies, services and networks, and digital signal processing dealing with adaptive systems and speech processing issues.
