The Illawarra Historical Society was formed on 5th December l944. The first issue of the Society’s Bulletin was published in 1945. Feature articles from the Bulletin are reproduced here with the permission of the Society, and are based on descriptions provided in the Wollongong City Library’s Illawarra Index catalogue. Complete issues of the Bulletin will be available online through the Society’s website www.illawarramuseum.com in 2015.
