Abstract
[extract] The aim of this chapter is to discuss the link between spirituality and leadership in the workplace. Fairholm (1996) is credited as being one of the first scholars to 'put the terms spiritual and leadership together to explain spirituality in context of workplace leadership' (Dent et al., 2005, p. 628). Generating 344,000 hits on Google Scholar, 'spiritual leadership' is quickly gaining recognition as an attractive leadership form to study and practice across education, healthcare, psychology and management disciplines.
