Abstract

The article presents the authors' views on prison foodservice offered in England and Australia as described in two research papers published within this issue. The research papers have revealed that there is a striking difference in the dietary fibre content of the food provided in the prisons in England and Australia. According to the authors, the two papers provide an interesting comparison of the styles of foodservice and nutritional adequacy of menus in prisons in the two countries.
