Abstract

Observations on colossal electroresistance (ER) and giant magnetoresistance in doped PbPdO2, one of the candidates of a new class of materials, spin gapless semiconductors, are reported. The resistivity is strongly suppressed by electrical current below a metal-insulator transition with the ER values of up to 10(7), which is much greater than that achieved in colossal magnetoresistance materials.
