Abstract

This research covers recent investigations into the estimation of parameters and states in electric vehicles, and the advantages of such estimation over direct measurement. Estimated parameters and states are used for torque vectoring, and active steering implementation within electric vehicles. Prior research has not yet been identified a suitable solution for use in production vehicles, which opens an avenue for further investigation into parameter estimation and the performance control made possible from it, in regards to electric vehicles.
