Abstract

Social norms play an important role in shaping human behaviour. They guide people on how to behave under certain circumstances by informing them on what is permitted and prohibited. The growth of socio-technical systems that enable the interaction between humans and technology calls for endowing systems with abilities to understand and facilitate acceptable behaviour as governed by conventions, norms and laws.
