Abstract

As technology transforms our education systems around the world, early childhood professionals must also be transformed themselves. Regardless of teacher training, previous research has indicated that all early childhood professionals felt a low level of efficacy regarding the integration of technology in their teaching environments. In the current Australian education climate, upgrading qualifications in the early years sector is essential and therefore provides the ideal situation to initiate change. We look at how new teacher training programs make use of innovative online environments to encourage early childhood professionals to develop their skills, build their confidence and take this dynamic workforce to the next level.
