Abstract
Debate still rages about whether the cure to climate change could be worsethan the disease. This paper reports the findings of a study examining the influence ofshort-termism on the genuineness of corporate environmental initiatives. After identifyingthe environmental initiatives at ExxonMobil and Royal Dutch Shell, we present a model toanalyse short-termism and genuineness.
