Abstract
There is a paucity of research into the introduction and implementation of new technology in developing countries where the contextual conditions facing change agents are markedly different from those experienced in the more advanced industrialized economies. This article draws on fieldwork conducted in a less developed country to identify and discuss key factors that shape the process of technological change in the development and use of IT in the Sudanese banking industry.
