Publication history: The University’s Centre for Multicultural Studies was established in 1978 with the joint purpose of pursuing applied research and providing teaching and research programmes concerned with multicultural Australian society, including the role of Aboriginal and ethnic minorities in Australia. The Centre published a wide range of reports and papers on various topics over the years, including a series of twenty nine occasional papers between 1984 and 1993.
