Abstract

The British television series Doctor Who remains one of the most well loved science fiction television programs around the world. It features the Doctor, an alien Time Lord-a two-hearted , self-proclaimed "madman in a box"-who travels through time and space and, at the point of death, is able to regenerate into a different body, conveniently allowing the show to continue when the lead actor opts to pursue other projects.
