Abstract
THE BRIEF The study was required to provide: An analysis of innovation in the housing industry, including levels of awareness, impediments to innovation, and processes of innovation diffusion in Australia; identification of key determinants of successful innovations; a survey of new house building technologies in Australia and overseas and their implications for increased innovation in the housing industry; identification of a range of policy options to increase the rate of innovation and reduce the impediments to uptake.
