Description

William Harris was a Sub Inspector with the New South Wales police force, stationed at Broken Hill.

Inscription on rear of postcard:

"Broken Hill 29-1-09. Willie. The troopers had a job trying to get Tommy the Black tracker to hold up his head to get his photo taken. How would he suit Elsie May & Maggie's letters say nothing of Miss Sly boots. How is Charly Hemmings getting on. I have forgotten Maggies No. of Bridge Rd. I want to send her mother some P.C's. Mother would not take such liberty. Be a good boy & don't be too hard on Arthur."
