Article Title
For a Marxism Without Guarantees
Abstract
In his address to the ALR Marx Centenary Symposium in Sydney and Melbourne in April 1983, Stuart Hall asked the audience to accept that there isn't any lost page of Marx's notebooks which will tell us where to go next. Hall finished his address by saying the only Marx worth celebrating is the Marx which is interested in thinking and struggling on an open terrain, a Marx who offers a marxism without guarantees, and without answers. The following article is based on his addresses at Sydney and Melbourne.
