Abstract
I became a political activist during the late 1960s and early '70s. The struggles of this period around Australian involvement in Viet Nam, draft resistance, feminism, apartheid, tenants' action, Aboriginal land rights and protection of the environment, helped to bring about changes in attitudes in Australian society as a whole.
