Steven Rose is a prominent researcher into the workings of the human brain. He is also a leading proponent of, and spokesperson for, the Science for the People movement. He has written a book on the brain (The Conscious Brain,! and also writes on other topics such as the use of Intelligence Tests and the notion of IQ. With his wife Hilary Rose he edited two recent books on science, The Political Economy of Science and The Radicalisation of Science. When he was recently in Australia, Brian Aarons did the following interview with him for ALR. Steven Rose stresses that the views expressed here are the result of joint work with Hilary Rose.
