Abstract
WHEN IN SEPTEMBER, 1963, the Congress of the Australian Council of Trade Unions unanimously adopted its present policy statement on the Aborigines, it moved far forward from many of the earlier union and labor movement attitudes on racial purity and discrimination on the basis of color of skin and blood.
